Barbara Gail (Bege) Austein
Director of Account Management

Bege began working with Insurance Consulting Group, Inc. in 1993 after several years in management with Kraft Foods, Inc.

As the Director of Account Management she has the needed experience in all areas of employee benefits to direct the sales and servicing of all group products. Her position requires her to manage the claims and billing matters handled by the four account managers under her supervision. She maintains the workload of each of the Account Managers, as well as managing the training and carrier interactivity with the agency.

Bege has direct contact with the larger employers that require extensive service. She uses her knowledge and people skills to handle employer and carrier issues as well as managing those relationships. Her position allows her to oversee the day-to-day operations of the agency including assignment of accounts, monthly renewal activity levels and developing strategies for improving the services being provided.

After 20 years of experience, she has developed an extensive knowledge of the group insurance industry. As Insurance Consulting Group, Inc. continues to be a leader in the area of Consumer Driven Health Plans in the Mid-South, it is important that we are up-to-date on all legislative changes. Bege helps to insure that that our staff has the tools and knowledge to implement and manage these accounts.

Bege's desired purpose is to maintain the balance between promises made and promises kept.
